“This project began with a pencil-sketched floor plan, tasteful vision from the homeowner, and a steep hillside lot that gave way to fabulous views.  Many questionnaires, in-depth interviews, redrawn plans, and possibilities later, the result is a timeless beauty that really functions for a family of five.”   

“On the list of ‘must haves’, was a pleasing façade from the street----no obvious 3 story that loomed large.  So we made the home part of the hillside by ‘burying’ the garage somewhat below finished grade, terracing the landscaping, varying the siding materials, and adding corbels to convey a charming cottage feel.”

“Much of the design was driven by the desire for adequate storage and a ‘vintage touch’ so built-ins like window seats, a dining room buffet, floor to ceiling bookcases, unique wine rack, mudroom cubbies,  hidden flat screen TV, and niches built to fit specific furniture became part of the plan.”
